The paper lantern now hangs
outside my window
a vain attempt of display…
of stoicism…
Struggling…as it suspends itself
…fighting…against the might of the winds
that have
conspired to tear it down…
surviving….all odds
…torn and in shards
never giving up…
won’t ever, I know…
not until I choose to discard…
...these remnants of our friendship…

* Φ : Hey! Glad to see you again! And pretty please don't thank me for dropping by, the pleasure's always mine!:)
I had hunted for a pic of a lantern... saw some that I liked, but none that really was 'right'.. then thought better of it, let words have their own meaning...

Yes we always don't end up getting exact pictures of what we have on our minds.. ^_^ words should suffice..

your lantern was such, I could get the picture in your narration..:)
